Why the name Hope Church? The city of New Orleans is a fantastic city with much to celebrate but one that also has great need for hope. People in New Orleans put hope in the rebuilding process, they put hope in celebrations, they put hope in religious tradition. We believe that Christ is the only hope for hurts, addictions, and hang-ups. There are many verses that talk about Christ our Hope.
Titus 2:11-14For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope - the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
Colossians 1:27-28To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.
2 Timothy 4:9-10This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance (and for this we labor and strive), that we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe.
